Talking St. Patrick's Day 2024 Music in Knoxville

Here's most of the music going on this St. Patrick's Day weekend in 2024, March 16-17.

Saturday, March 16


Downtown


Shamrock Fest, a family friendly festival benefiting the East Tennessee Kidney Foundation will be at World's Fair Park from 11AM to 5PM. Their site says it will include Irish music and dancing but I can't find a music schedule.



The Jig & Reel will have some Celtic variety. Starting at 5PM, I think it's part of the Old City Pub Crawl thing?

  • 2:30PM - Knoxville Pipes and Drums with Celtic Dancers

  • 4:30PM - Knoxville Pipes and Drums with Celtic Dancers

  • 9PM - Celtic Fiddle and Flatpicks


Pretentious Beer Co. is hosting a St. Patrick's Day celebration for $10, starting at 5PM


The Laurel Theater is hosting Day 2 of their 55th Jubilee Festival, which will be mostly folk and bluegrass performers.





The Pilot Light will have several great indie rock and punk bands, starting at 8PM for $10


Scruffy City Hall will see two hard/punk rock bands starting at 8PM. Cover will be $5 or more, I'll update when I hear more.


Preservation Pub will have two different rock bands, starting at 8PM. Again, cover will be $5 or more but it will get you into both Preservation Pub and Scruffy City Hall.


Barley's will feature indie rock band High Heat at 10PM for $5.


South Knoxville


South Press Coffee will host the Trans People Are Magic Cabaret beginning at 7PM with a suggested donation of $10, benefiting their name change grant scholarship.


North Knoxville


Ale Rae's will host disco tribute and varied band The Boogie Knights for $Free starting at 6PM.



East Knoxville


The Bottom will see J.Bu$h perform a "Tiny Bookshop Concert" beginning at 7PM.


West Knoxville


Finn's, located in the historic Baker Peters House, is hosting events all weekend, and here's their schedule for Saturday, March 16.



Union Jack's will have "Jam Band" at an unlisted time, probably 8PM. No clue beyond that but it's what their site says.


Union Place will host the 7-piece horn cover band Big Gene Poole beginning at 8PM.


Cotton Eyed Joe will have a country rap show starting at 8PM with these artists:



Sunday, March 17


Downtown


Wagon Wheel will host Cookie Hopper from 3PM to 6PM.


Merchants of Beer has Dos Fuegos performing starting at 4PM.


Jig & Reel has several music events as part of their celebrations, some of which is part of the Old City Bar Crawl.

  • 5:30PM-7:30PM: St. Patrick's music with Cody Bauer

  • 8PM-11PM: The Potato Peelers (I think that's music?)



Barley's will see Irish influenced punk rock starting at 7PM for $15.


The Holistic Connection is hosting three punk & rock bands at 7PM for $5


Scruffy City Hall has two bands, one hard rock and one more celtic folk rock, starting at 8PM for probably $5.


North Knoxville


Yee-Haw Brewing Co. will host a band as part of their "St. Madness Sunday."


West Knoxville


Finn's, located in the historic Baker Peters House, is hosting events all weekend, and here's their schedule for Sunday, March 17.


Marble City Pub will have singer songwriters


Union Jack's will have Pulp Friction, a party band, perform at 8PM, along with other St Paddy's day stuff.


Union Place will host a variety of local rock bands starting at 8PM.
