As we begin to wind down summer, there's still a lot of fun to be had at music festivals and events in Knoxville. Here's a list of some exciting things to do and let us know if we missed anything!


CreepyCon Halloween & Horror Convention

Creepycon is a horror themed convention with performances, special guests, contests (including the creepy doll contest), vendors, workshops & panels, and more.


Activities are going on all weekend and, if you love horror films and halloween, check this one out.


Kuumba Festival

Kuumba Festival is a cultural celebration founded in 1989 featuring art, music, vendors, and other performances.


Knoxville Polish Heritage Festival

Cathedral of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus (Northshore Dr close to Lakeshore Park)

The Knoxville Polish Heritage festival will feature music, Polish traditions, food, and more, including authentic Polish beer.


$10 gets you the "Taste of Poland" plate, full of traditional foods, and there's also other vendors and stuff.


Irish Fest on the Hill

Irish Fest on the Hill is a yearly celebration of Irish heritage and culture, hosted by the Immaculate Conception Church in Downtown Knoxville, once the center of Knoxville's "Irish Town." (Which is why the church faces away from the city)


The festival features numerous music performances, dances, food, drinks, and more fun for the whole family.


River & Rail: Summer Experience III Music Festival

River & Rail Theatre Company hosts their third Summer Experience one day music festival featuring four local artists: Tinca Tinca, Chameleous, 5th Woman, and Shawn Turner.


Water Lantern Festival

The Water Lantern festival is centered around decorating water lanterns and launching them while also featuring music, food, and more.


History Hootenanny

August 16

The History Hootenanny is a celebration of East Tennessee history hosted by the East Tennessee Historical Society, featuring music, tours, film screenings, and a ton of activities for the whole family.


This year's theme is "Sports History," centered around their new feature exhibition "Home Runs & Home Teams: A History of the National Pastime in Tennessee."


Sunset on Central

Happy Holler

Sunset on Central is a yearly one day festival featuring live music all day in the Happy Holler area along Central just north of the Old City at Yee-Haw Brewing, Schulz Bräu, Corner Lounge, and Next Level Brewing.

Germanfest

Germanfest is a celebration of German heritage and culture, hosted by First Lutheran Church off Broadway in the 4th & Gill area.


The event features polka & other German music, food, wiener dog races, vendors, and a lot more.


Knox Asian Festival

The Knox Asian Festival celebrates a wide variety Asian cultures, and featuring music, food, activites, vendors, and a whole lot more, with performances at the Amphitheater and two other stages.


Pasta & Bluegrass Festival

The 19th Annual Pasta & Bluegrass Festival is a fundraiser featuring bluegrass music & noodles, all raising money the help end family homelessness.


Big Kahuna Wing Festival

$15 Festival Pass, $25 Wing/Culinary Experience Pass, $225 VIP, $10 Fireworks Pass


The Big Kahuna Wing Festival is a massive food festival featuring tons of wings, competitions, live music, and family activities, culminating in a fireworks show at 9PM.


Participants can buy simply a fireworks show pass for $10.
