Knoxville's best independent music venue, The Pilot Light, just got old enough to rent a car without additional fees, and they're celebrating this 25 year milestone with a big block party in the Old City on Jackson Ave right in front of the venue.
On Sunday, September 14th, twelve hours of music from more than 40 bands will be presented on two stages in an A-B configuration, running from 10AM to 10PM, and it's all completely free.
Inside the Pilot Light itself, there will be a museum of sorts with show flyers, history, photos, and more.
On the street, a replica of the venue and bathrooms will be built, allowing people to decorate those however they want.
The Pilot Light, now operating as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit since 2017, now offers a membership campaign and will be offering personalized member cards and commemorative posters at the event. (More info on memberships here: https://givebutter.com/PilotLight25 )
